MeshAP node Configuration

MeshAP node contains the following attributes:

Locustworld MeshAP software
PC, ethernet card and wireless card.
A node can also have optional second wireless card.
Nodes can have various types of antennas.

They’re a many types of configuration that the MeshAP node can perform.  Each type can be control from Wiana.  Joel Smith came out with the analogies indicating the following describes the type of function the node performs:

Uplink node         a node that is connection to the Internet by wired connection.

Downlink node    a node that is connected to the mesh, and able to serve clients both wireless and wired.

Repeater node      a node that is connected to the mesh and has been administratively disabled from serving clients. This node does not offer DHCP or DNS services.

These three types of nodes can make up the Mesh.
