Via board vs Intel board
Well it's been a few days now and I left my new Intel mini-itx board running. I changed it over from an Uplink node to repeating node. Since it is still in the lab I decided to put on a 300 mW demarchtech radio card. The radio card is working very well. This ensure me when I link clients to the node for testing, that the loudest radio card is the one that is linked up too. Other words the one that yells the loudest is heard.
Intel board has given me really superior performance. I have a new Via board 500 Mhz and you know you can see a bit of the performance lag on the Via compared to the 1 Ghz intel board.
I'm not about to give a comparison between the two boards but the intel board has the minimum connectors on it, such as, video connectors, mouse and keyboard, USB, Ethernet and sound. All the rest of the parallel ports and serial ports are missing.
I believe with the high speed and less junk on the Intel board performance is much better.
The via board in comparison is half the speed of the intel, It contains ports on a PC link parallel, however LW has optimized the Via board to work with it's product.
You can see the difference in Wiana: Via boards show neat things like temperature while Intel board has not be optimized.
I would like to see if I could send another board to Locustworld with documentation so that they can optimize this board to work fully with Wiana.
Ok many have been waiting for this comment. The price:
Intel Mini-itx board cost $85 US 1 Ghz
Via Mini-itx board cost $128 US 500 Mhz
You decide!

I could not find the board at $85 anywhere. Can you please provide the link to buy mini-itx board at that price. alidanish22@gmail.com
